Opening Doors for Children & Families

Letters of Thanks

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I was pondering once again how great my job is.  Here at ABC Head Start Society I get to write all of the THANK YOU letters and cards.  What an awesome job!  I love handwriting cards and putting down my sincere thoughts and gratitude in writing.  And I tell ya, there is a lot to be thankful for when you are the Development & Stakeholder Relations Manager at ABC Head Start Society.  The community support we receive EVERY.  SINGLE.  DAY.  is truly touching.

This week ALONE we received two gifts, one from Associated Engineering and one from University of Alberta Kappa Alpha Theta.  I can't tell you how much of an honour it is to get a phone call to say that a corporation or group has chosen ABC Head Start as the charity of choice for their event.  That is exactly what these two organizations did.  Associated Engineering sold mulligans at their golf tournament, with all proceeds from the sales going to ABC.  Kappa Alpha Theta hosted their annual event, Flapjacks and Quarterbacks to raise funds for ABC.  It is such a fun event and these women work hard to make it a success every year.

We will always remain humbled and grateful for the community support we receive because without it, our doors would close.  Truly, the services we provide for children and families would not be possible without the generous donations and support from individuals, businesses, groups, corporations, family foundations, and the list goes on.  So from the bottom of my philanthropic heart, THANK YOU FOR CHANGING THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.  Thank you for supporting ABC Head Start Society.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
