Community Spirit Award

City Councillor Bev Esslinger was presented with Aleda Patterson Community Spirit award on November 18, 2019 for her community involvement and advocacy of early learning programs. The award is given annually in honour of the ABC Head Start Society's founder Aleda Patterson, a committed contributor in the Edmonton area and a visionary & advocate who believes in empowering others to reach their full potential. The board recognized Esslinger's ongoing commitment to children in the capital region and specifically cited her role in the Child Friendly Edmonton initiative and Safe City YEG project among her achievements
