Guiding Families on Their Journey!
Our support extends beyond the classroom. Our Family Engagement Team works with families to create meaningful connections and ensure they are involved in their child’s learning journey.
ABC Head Start is pleased to offer many programs and services for families of either our Head Start or Preschool programs, including Stay and Play Groups, Parent Workshops and Family Connections Group. Please see the calendar below for a complete list of programs and to register.
Stay and Play Group
Join us for a fun-filled experience in one of our classrooms! Enjoy hands-on playtime with your child, delicious snacks, and the opportunity to connect with other parents and our caring staff. All family members are welcome to join the fun!
Family Connections Group
A new group offering space for caregivers to come together to talk and learn from one another. Caregivers will have an opportunity to meet other caregivers to share and support each other in our daily struggles. The goal is that caregivers feel supported and valued while connecting with other caring community members.
Family Connection will take place once a month - dates and times will be specific to your child’s school.
Picky Eaters: Join us to explore strategies for expanding your child’s food choices and tackling mealtime challenges.
Parent Workshops
We know you’re here because you want the absolute best for your child, and we believe you are the expert on what’s needed to get there. ABC Head Start Society’s Family Engagement philosophy centers on parents and caregivers as the child’s first and primary teachers. We attend to the unique gifts of each child in the context of their family and community, and we offer support and education to help each family reach their full potential.
All parents and caregivers are welcome to take part in our parent education courses and workshops. These sessions offer a variety of skill-building opportunities that will help your family achieve goals and build resilience!
